Terms and conditions

The rules for using tempmailboxes, including our website, apps, and developer API.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using tempmailboxes, you agree to these terms and our privacy statement. If you do not agree, stop using the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.

2. How the service works

Tempmailboxes provides receive-only temporary email. It does not send, reply to, or forward messages. Create an inbox before sharing its address; opening an address later cannot recover mail discarded while it was inactive.

Public inboxes and their attachments are accessible to anyone who knows the address. Free users receive randomly assigned addresses. Choosing or reopening an address requires an eligible paid website plan. Private receiving, premium domains, custom domains, and developer access depend on your subscription and its current limits.

Messages expire automatically. Addresses and domains may expire, be suspended, or be retired. Do not rely on the service for permanent records, essential correspondence, or account recovery. OTP extraction produces heuristic candidates; it does not verify that a code is valid or safe to use.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for activity authorized through your account and API keys. Protect those credentials, use only domains you are entitled to configure, and respect other services’ rules when using temporary addresses.

Do not use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, unlawful content, malware, unauthorized access, or interference with another system. Do not evade limits, overload infrastructure, or attempt to access private inboxes without permission. Authorized development and testing must remain within your plan’s limits.

4. Plans, payments, and cancellation

Prices, included features, billing periods, and applicable limits are shown before purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew according to the terms presented at checkout unless canceled through the relevant billing provider.

Website subscriptions are processed through Polar. Mobile subscriptions are managed through the relevant app store with RevenueCat integration. They are separate purchases: having one does not activate the other. Cancellation, refunds, and mandatory consumer rights follow the applicable purchase terms and law.

If paid access ends, private receiving and other paid features may become unavailable. Keep any records you need before expiry; temporary email is not an archive.

5. Service availability and enforcement

We may limit requests, suspend accounts or domains, and remove content to address violations, security issues, legal requirements, or operational problems. Delivery, uninterrupted access, and continued availability of a particular address or domain are not guaranteed.

6. Content and third-party services

You retain any rights you have in your content and authorize us to process it as needed to provide the service. Our branding, design, and original materials remain the property of their respective owners. Linked websites, identity providers, payment services, and app stores have their own terms.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or guaranteed delivery. We are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on temporary addresses, expired messages, or third-party services, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights or liability that applicable law prohibits us from limiting.

8. Updates and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and update date will appear here, and material changes will be communicated through the service as appropriate. For account or billing questions, use the support channel shown in your account or app. Use our abuse reporting form to report misuse.
